Herniated Cervical Disc

A herniated disc occurs when the squishy inside of the rubbery cushion that supports the vertebrae in the lower back pushes through its outer wall resulting in a bulge that can press against nearby nerves. Herniated discs can occur because of normal wear and tear, lifting heavy objects, or an injury and can cause severe pain.
