Acoustic Neuroma

This growth is a benign tumor that forms on the vestibulocochlear nerve, the main nerve from the inner ear to the brain. Acoustic neuromas usually grow slowly and do not spread but they can cause dizziness and nausea as well as trouble swallowing and smiling.
